My booth under the stairs is doing well!

Wow, I thought I had updated you on new photos as I added more to my booth. Sales so far, have been wonderful and I sure hope it keepup to pay for the booth next door next month plus some extra cash which in the whole point! Not to just give my things way which is what happened to me the last time Ihad a consignment booth. I was barely making rent the last couple of spaces I had. My space this time is inthe big warehouse part of the store which gets alot of traffic.

We took a vintage chair and white wicker baby changing table and twin headboard last trip and yesterday we took our Travel/Messanger bags that are so nice. They are very durable and the same company makes the dog crates we sell on MyShop4Pets.com.

I have just had them  in my garage since a dog-sitting trip we made and got them as a warehouse closeout. I kept meaning to list them and never got around to it.  Story of my life!

I really thought my LIKE signs and Painted Stars would fly out also, but if not, I will list them on-line.
That is what I will do with all of it or auction it, I have to get this house cleaned out.

I wonder what any of you do with it if things do not sell or how long you give it. Of course, now is the time things are picking up with the weather getting nice, well, SOME DAYS!  We have gone back into a cooler spell and it is to last into this weekend with the wet word again to happen.

I still have some spring bulbs I need to plant. The dogs are digging alot so I may put them in pots but I better get them planted.  The plan today so far includes this. (Grins) But,my bathroom Amaryliss is going strong, all four blooms open and the second plant is not far behind. They are in my bath tub as good light there for the winter.  Yes, a pain to move when need that hot water, but worth it!

We also saw this Bradford Pear tree in Full Bloom on our way to the Blue House yesterday. They are just beautiful!

A new site for DragonflyzDreams, a walk in shop

I made a Flicker Badge of my new little space under the stairs at The Blue House, an old re-done house on Main Street - Alabaster, Alabama. These photos are not great, especially the Needlepoint Sampler which is blurry. I will take more close up's when I go back tomorrow when we take some furniture pieces. I have a white wicker baby changing table I have been using in my front hallway as a display table for photos and staging photos scenes.




I will really miss it for that. It is nice as it has three drawers and two shelves to store items in. I really kind of wish I could keep it after using it for about a year since I closed my other consignment stores 10x10 areas. I have a six drawer dresser I could replace it with or if it doesn't sell I will just keep it and put something else out. I hope to get enough cash to attend my old stomping ground, the auction I use to attend. They have fabulous furniture now and then. Some of the stuff I still have came from there. I painted a harp table a shabby purple with a pearl glaze from there and I will put it out, I need a place to put some lamps I have. I find lamps quite often when I am thrifting at great buys and I have several new lampshades I got from a furniture store that was closing a long time ago and they have just been sitting in my garage.



I need to move this stuff out and reclaim my home, and if it does not sell I will do some box lots at the auction house. I really need to raise some cash and clear our also so this is what I came up with. I have visited this store and inquired several times but they are always full and with a waiting list so I was really surprised last week when the new owner called me with a choice of two sites.



The site under the stairs was open now and the blue booth space next door will be available April 1, 2010 when the girl there is opening her own store. I will have to follow here new shop also as she has altered art also and I love what she makes.



So, here is a visit to what a have open so far with so much more to add.

Come to the On-Line Yard Sale!

Welcome March,

For February being a short month it sure did seem like it took forever to get by. I have a feeling we will get some snow tonight. It just feels like it. I was out filling the bird feeders this afternoon and it was absolutley beautiful outside. I wanted to lie in the hammock and just watch the clouds drift by. Oh, How I love to do that!

But, I have way to many things on the docket to get done today so I can get outside and relax later. Our old bed comforter fits well on the hammock. I hung it out to air since it was not getting dry in the clothes dryer. It said to dry clean and I have put it in the dryer on air cycle just to remove the lint and Emma's dog hair where she sleeps in bed with us. I figured why not?, since we will toss it out or it would sit in the garage for a picnic day. I really think it will replace the one in the car from another bed change. We keep a comforter over the foam cushions for the dogs to ride on, but Emma likes to sit in the front seat. That Emma, she will try anything!

I wanted to invite you to a Craft On-Line Yard Sale, really you can find about anything there. I browsed through the shops alittle as I can't get into the chat room yet. This is my first time to be a vendor so I will just wait for the kinks to be worked out or whatever. It gives me a chance to invite you to come. It lasts 2 weeks till March 14th, so come back in often to see the goods that are sold changed around.

I have duplicates of many of my items. I got in a wholesale shipment and am delighted to share little bird nests and bird eggs with you. I have had trouble finding them, so I just grabbed it when I saw them. Of course, I als have my Rusty Crusty Bed Springs or Nodders as some primatives call them.

My spot in the Yard is DragonflyzDreams in the Altered Art area. I am the only one in that catagory so I have plenty of time to spend with you, get some lemonade, hot cocoa or tea and spend some time browsing among the fun things I have seen.

I also have added some new items to my Craft "DragonflyzDreams" shop at Bonanzle, some are the same as in the yard sale and some will be different.

I am also adding many new hats and fun items to frstyfrolk's Boutique. Give me a couple of days to get the Krispy Kreame Donuts and Hard Rock Cafe cotton shorts added.

I did not sleep well last night and am about to nod off to maybe I need a nodder! LOL!

Enjoy and browse to your heart's delight. I can't believe Ellen is on TV and I can hear in the background the crowd clapping and laughing. That means it is around 4PM and the school bus just passed by, gosh where has the day gone to?
