Going through Christmas and I found the Gnome Hat Factory!
While out in the woods looking for a shelf mushroom on a fallen tree I found a Gold Mine of Gnome Hats! It Must Be the Gnome Hat Factory! They are everywhere from this fallen tree and I started scooping them up, they were just calling my name to be shared with all the Gnome, Fairy, Hobbit Lovers for their fairy gnome gardens and crafting needs.
A nickel is in the photo and they cover it up when placed on top!
I got a bag full and then returned for more the next day! The tree was full of shelf mushrooms and I collected them until it got dark and then as I was leaving I saw all of these Acorn Hat Tops just lying everywhere. They were meant for me to find! Both of these items are now in my Etsy Shop "ByLightOfMoon"
Oh for JOY! I love these nature finds! I also found a much better magnolia tree with pods lying all over the ground.
I had baked the older pods I got before but these are perfect and just beautiful. I think a squirrel has been in the red seeds but they are awesome as is and I collected several bags to share also. I sprayed a few with a snow spray and they look fabulous! What a fun nature day outside of my own neighborhood!
I was on my way to our warehouse to get my many bins of Christmas Decorations to go through and see what I can possibly keep and what I just much finally share with others as we just have NO ROOM! Our tiny cabin will barley hold a small table top tree that I had for our kitchen window in our last house but now it is The Tree we will use. So many of my collected ornaments from over many years will be listed and shared as I can get the listings done. I should have started in July I know but Well, I didn't. SO I WILL make it an Effort now so I can clean out my warehouse and over crowed home. We don't have much table room either for my table displays I used to do so many on. I love to do displays and create vignettes! I have always done this just for myself and then when I started doing consignment stores with my estate and auction items also it gave me a reason to trey and be creative.
DO you think I Have enough Christmas and this is NOT ALL! I returned to the warehouse and got another 6 bins not even show here.
WOW! How did I ever get some many Christmas items! But, So many memories as I go through them. My Mother crafted many items from the 1960's on through now. I also found a bottle cap wreath I found that I made in the 1960's when first starting my own household and creating Christmas items. I worked for hours sewing the caps with calico fabric and then gluing them to a round base and wrapping with lace.
I also have this cross stitch framed saying my best friend, ANN made for me when we worked together in the 1980's.
I cherish it!
This is one of the very first things my Mother made for me and it sat on a foam circle covered with greenery and filled with peppermints.
My Peppermint Santa
Hand Painted China and painted stone my Mother made; also a crochet Santa and Snowman
Sawdust Santa and Jewelry
My Daughters making when a child
The most treasured of ALL!
I purchased so many easels and frames for displays and I have several boxes of them to share also. I thought I would be the easel and plate hanger shop that anyone could get their easel needs from when they purchased anything from anyone in the shops I had consignments booths in. SO, I will also be listing more of them as I can.
Time is the one thing I never seem to have enough of. I guess that is the case with everyone these days. I have so many crafting items in my head and I also have the supplies , I just need to do IT!
Back to busy!
