General Information - West Coast - Art Is...You - The East Coast Art Retreat
I have found through the Etsy Mixed Media Group with our team leader " Kerin Gale" the most enchanting wondrous event of 2011! She shares so many wonderful ideas and magical events to fill our spirits! I can get lost just reading the event tutorials everyone who can attend their choice of classes.
Kerin is an artist who is published herself with a wonderful book full of ideas and tutorials on making just fabulous art objects our of remnants, see her book on this sidebar post!
This Art-Is-You event is SOOOO BIG, I believe many awesome memories and new goodies to take home will be taken back home with these awesome folks that will be able to attend! I sure do wish I had the cash now to go! I know it will be filled up to the brim with attendees and the fact these events are happening is just glorious!
It is even going to be on the East and West Coast! You can view the ART-IS-You Event here for both coasts!
I started this post yesterday and got interrupted with my husband serving dinner; He made a huge pot of chili as we had some icy rain and sleet which is so rare here.
We just are homebodies and I have been very busy re-doing my craft rooms again! I did order some jewelry findings on Ebay and can't wait for them to arrive. Why I need more supplies is crazy as I I have enough merchandise for a store opening in my house so as a matter if fact I do think I may begin selling some of my even new pieces of this and that. I like making mixed media but I like to find the pieces rather buy a card at the hobby store of a finding. That is too easy for me. So, I have hunted estate sales, auctions, consignment shops till I am overflowing and is it really bad now because I also said the same thing 3 years ago that I was full to the brim and no room to work.
I would love to have a barn for a workshop. That would be so Awesome! But, I have to start working with what I have and getting rid of the excesses. I even had what the TV folks are calling an intervention to clean out my garage and house. SO, it IS time to DO something.
I got some pull out plastic drawer bins on sale at Wally World after the holidays (I really was in there shopping for our needs, not looking for more stuff.) But, they looked like easier access than the tub bins I have full, Maybe I can find what I need to use easier; I hope!
Well, I could write a book again but I need to let you check out this event and get your reservations made. I would love to hear your plans and classes intended to go to. Also please share photos, I always love them.

wonderful post! kerin's book is magnificent, isn't it! i just love it!! for some reason i could not read it well or comment, click on links, etc. in firefox or internet explorer as there is a weird gray box that appears over your whole page -- you may want to look into that. for some reason i can only view your blog in chrome.
anyway, fantastic post, again, and thank you so much for entering my giveaway of the week.
Thanks so much for letting me know about this post! I will have to look into it if I can figure out how? I am not good at computers but your crafting is awesome and I love your blog!
Thanks again, I do hope I win one of your fabulous items. I have been sorting crafting myself today and need to do the same things as you! Have some giveaways!

Hi Cindi... thanks for stopping by my Blog and leaving such sweet comments... it is always a pleasure to meet more Bohemian free Spirited Souls through this wonderful virtual community!
Yes, a Barn for a Studio would be fabulous... have you ever seen the Barn that Designer Carol Hicks-Bolton decorated? I have a Post about it... though years ago I still lust after the Sofa she had in there and one day shall have an oversized chair re-upholstered identically! *wink* Her whole style and palette speaks to my Soul...
Blessings... Dawn... The Bohemian
I dearly loved visiting Dawn's blog, just click on her name above to visit!
I spent a long time just browsing her posts and fabulous photos she shares on the Bohemian life, Gypsy's, and their fabulous wagons.
I can see myself re-decorating "Daisy", my little Shasta trailer now!
Thanks Dawn for your time and energy sharing your wonderful blog!

Dear Cindi... keep your Dreams alive... that is when they ultimately become our realities! You must share pixs of your Shasta "Daisy"... I've got The Man on the lookout for a mobile Studio for moi! *wink* I think he might be afraid that when I get one I shall never again come inside the house?!? *LOL*
