Back in the groove

I just returned from a trip to New Orleans where my nephew got married last Saturday Evening. I met my Mother and Brother( his father) who also drove down from Missouri and we stayed together in a hotel in Covington, LA.

We REALLY had a wonderful time together. The wedding and rehersal were perfect. I believe everything went just as planned. We went to the rehersal dinner at Annadale's Plantation in Covington, LA and met a wonderful group of their friends. The wedding was beautiful and the dinner and dance afterwards were awesome seeing so many people together for an awesome union of two wonderful people. They danced so many kinds of dances and I watched in awe as folks of all ages gave it all they had, grandmothers and baby sisters all kept me entertained all evening.

My brother has a tradition of giving a container of canned vegetables with all the labels removed so it is a surprise what they eat when they return from the sunny beaches of their honeymoon and get back to the grind of real life.

My Mother has a tradition of making a unity candle for the memories of their invitations sent to loved ones. See photo for the unity candle she made for them. Their wedding colors were burgendy and black so she started with that and the paper wedding invitation to the ceremony and reception dinner. She can make them customized for anyone in our etsy shoppe http://ByLightOfMoon.etsy.com

All she would need would be the invitations to be on the candle and the wedding colors. Aren't they beautiful?
