I took these photos yesterday of the area around our cabin when the
car was not in the driveway. My husband had gone searching for our two golden retrievers who took off when he returned from the mailbox. They got out of the car and shot down the road. we are trying to keep them on leashes since the burs are so bad in the dog coats.
This looks from our house pass our driveway to the forest,
sorry about the "WildBlue Satellite" pole in the photo, it is our
Internet connection with Dish Internet. The galvanized tub hold pansies.
This is the front yard looking to the bridge walkway from the yard and this tomato is still trying to produce and I love the red/pink blooms on what I call river cane, but that is not the name, I don't believe. I water it a lot and it is very invasive so I pull up a lot too and put other places.
his in the side yards and the lawnmower is covered with the tarp since I have been mowing leaves for mulching in my garden beds. The elephant ears are to over winter ( I hope) as the root bulbs are gigantic to dig. I have mulched them good and they are slowly collapsing. I see good birdbaths from concrete going to waste since they are too big for me to work with.
Our kitty "Blak" is sitting on the banister while my fairy garden bowl was watered. I just pour water over it from a milk jug and let it drip from the hole in the up cycled misting bowl, remember those? You can also see the morning glories still trying to go strong although low temperatures have been the the 40's lately!
This zinnia has a yellow star in the center, so lilliputian
Bailey returned home with burs from the forest
It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
Smiles, Cyndi
