Last Day of 2013 and What will the New Year 2014 bring?

I use Wikipedia a lot a went I went there this AM to look up some information when I got a message they rely on donations and $3.00 will do it if everyone helps.
The information I get there is well worth my $3.00 so I am sharing this with you!

Wikipedia is the #5 site on the web and serves 500 million different people every month – with billions of page views
.

Commerce is fine. Advertising is not evil. But it doesn't belong here. Not in Wikipedia.
Wikipedia is something special. It is like a library or a public park. It is like a temple for the mind. It is a place we can all go to think, to learn, to share our knowledge with others.
When I founded Wikipedia, I could have made it into a for-profit company with advertising banners, but I decided to do something different. We’ve worked hard over the years to keep it lean and tight. We fulfill our mission efficiently.
If everyone reading this donated, our fundraiser would be done within an hour. But not everyone can or will donate. And that's fine. Each year just enough people decide to give.
This year, please consider making a donation of $5, $20, $50 or whatever you can to protect and sustain Wikipedia.
Thanks,
Jimmy Wales
Wikipedia Founder

Now, I have been doing Christmas with our decorations several weeks now and we have so many bins of items I cannot use anymore due to space. The memories of how I use to decorate the whole house I still have and photos but they are just bins in my warehouse now and I don't  see a future space for many of them.
There are maybe 4-5 bins we used this year with precious loved items and a tiny tree was used  instead of our 6 ' one.
Last year I even had it on the front porch due to room. This year I decided it WAS coming inside and made room for a small table to hold it.
We have our hand knit stockings from my Mother-In-Law which even have our dogs names on them, Opps. our much loved dogs of the past. I meant to make tags with our new dogs and cats names on them and never got around to it so that is a project for next year. I thought just a simple tag with their names on each stocking and still remembering our dogs the stocking were made with much love for.  Jordan and Megan are now Emma and Bailey and our cats are Blak and Lily.
Bob's stocking was made when he was a child and Mine was made when we married It is a little larger as she used different size needles.  I also have another one for our beloved dog, " Dylan" but did not hang it but he was remembered in our hearts.

My Mother made the Christmas Santa Ceramic card holder so many years ago, probably the 1960's when we were married. She is very crafty and I have many Christmas items ,lots of  hand - painted china, crochet Santa and Snowman, even tongue depressor angels. I hold very close to my heart.

The dog water and food bowl in front was a present from our Daughter and Son-in-Law who did so many wonderful things for us this year.ALL year long.  Also, a dog bell candy stripe collar, they don't  mind wearing and may bells and come off.
A grill cooling rack in on top and will have very good use.  I usually use the broil pans from the oven to leave air around what we bake.
The New Year will bring what it will. I fell very blessed most of the time, I have my moments where I worry too much and some bad habits I need to break.
I read one of my favorite garden blogs this morning which I do when I get up early with my coffee and Frances has posted her 2014 calender of the best photos from her garden. It  is much more beautiful then the little calender I bought, Take a look and this is also where I saw her post about the Leaf Man on her sidebar  which I read and this is when I was made aware of the Wikipedia needs for a donation.
I love using that site to learn information which is always very informative, So I hope you can spare $3.00 to donate to them or more if you have it.
Here is a link to Fairegarden, I know you will love it too!
Enjoy it and leave her a comment, she shares her garden all year long with us.
Blessings to you in the New Year to come and thanks for reading my blog.
Smiles, Cyndi
