Vintage Thursdays Blog Day
I found these books while I was on my dog-sitting vacation in North Carolina in an antique store. Great Finds! I adore the vintage books, and both are full of illustrations. Silver Pennies, 1925 by Blanche Jennings Thompson was a gift on Feb.1,1927 to a friend and A Child's Garden of Verses, MCMXL(1940)by Robert Louis Stevenson was property of New York City Library, marked damaged. No problem for me, I'll enjoy them anyway!

What a fantastic find!
I envy you the dog vacation. I'd love to do that some day. :-)
wonderful books! I have the first edition of The Children's Garden of Verses that my great aunt and uncle gave me as a child...wonderful illustrations...enjoy!
I love vintage books too, Cyndi! I remember The Children's Garden of Verses from when was a child. I cherished that book. I'm so glad you found these treasures!

Thanks for the comments, I so wish I had these as a child. I don;t really remember having books till I got older and the bookmobile came around. That got me started reading and I have books everywhere today.
I do adore the vintage children's books also. Oh, I also found one on fairies! < giggles>
