My Mermaid " Alicia" I won and Valentine Day Cake and Cupcakes!

I had to show you my Valentine Cake and cupcakes I made this year and I was waiting for the One World, One Heart giveaway to end to show you in another post. I am so proud of it. Now, I have never been a cake icer, it always has crumbs in it and yes again it did. My husband picked the cake mold when I pulled it out of my selling merchandise, in fact I had two heart molds. A Wilton Aluminum one and a Clay Romertopf Terra Rosa pan that is Microwaveable. Well, he close the Wilton Aluminum pan so I got two cake mixes as it is so Large! It fact, it would not fit on my cake pan but it turned out OK with the two mixes. I am not a cooking Diva from Scratch like my Mother. He also chose a White confetti cake ( he loves that confetti) over a chocolate cake, I was surprised!

Well, when I stated filling the cake pan I had quite a bit of filling so I also made 12 cupcakes. But, the cake did rise well, better than most I make.  It was so big I had to cover a Large cookie sheet for storage in my microwave and it barely fits with the door closing.  I don't have to say he is very happy with it!

I also won a mermaid doll like the frozen Charlotte dolls during this event from Altered Arts Blog. Alicia was very kind to me during the event notifying me of a blogging loading problem and then later I was giving our my blog address wrong on word press blogs.  She has been so kind to help me, I am no computer Geek and I just get buy as I can.  I appreciate all her help and knowledge. She was nice enough to take extra time to figure out what my problems were with my blog address and I should never try to type from memory. I am a copy and paste kind of girl. I think I had blogspot in the wrong place, backward in other works. Oh well, she got through to me and I found out I won on her second notice. I am grateful that she kept trying for me as I ADORE MERMAIDS and collect them as I can.

Don't you just love her! Well, I named her " Alicia" after my gift giver! She is 3 inches tall and so adorable!  I will use her a lot in  my art thoughts and photos but never give her away.   Please visit Alicia's blog and scroll down to see her historically accurate little books she makes with several friends adding pages. Here is another mermaid I have but she is in a bin for the winter as she started rusting in my home-made tiered water fountain she lives in during the summer.

 Round Top Antique Event in my little Teardrop Daisy trailer.  The coastline was so devastated with the hurricanes that have come ashore and I have seen them twice since Ike and Katrina Hurricanes.   They are re-building and most places do not allow you to get on the beach but they are working on the sand dunes.

One World, One Heart Winner Giveaway Announcement

Another year for "One World, One Heart" Giveaways has ended as of today and I will announce my winner. This does not in any way mean our visits will be halted, just the organized event. I want to thank Lisa Oceandreamer Swifka for hosting this event on the fifth and last year.


I was happy to be a part of this event every year and have made many new blogger friends and seen incredible art projects that artists make and have learned a little more of many of their lives.

There is unbelievable talent among bloggers who have participated and have made their blogs available to view with a simple click from Lisa's site. I have also tried to visit every blogger who has visited my blog site and learn more about them.

I will use the random number generator for picking my winner as I have done every year. I have seen some new followers to my blog and I am grateful to them. I hope it to have continued content of interest and I have followed many new bloggers as well to help visit them again and learn of their postings.

Many of us have so much in common no matter when we live; we share our lives, our art, and our interests. I love seeing photography of other places, children, pets, hobbies, recipes, and blogger help for improving my blog after seeing what is available.

Some folks are so talented with digital content and I so much appreciate that, as it is just beyond me so I appreciate all the "free" help for adding content to my blogs. Some of what I have seen is just beautiful and so creative and I appreciate just looking, visiting, and learning.

I try to keep this blog as my personal blog and I have another blog for selling my products on-line but sometimes I overlap as it is my life happening and just what I am doing at the moment.

As I mentioned in my giveaway beginning post I have an incredible amount of art making supplies I have collected and I will be listing many on Etsy in my supplies and handmade shop, ByLightOfMoon. I also have another etsy shop for vintage items as frstyfrolk's DragonflyzDreams.

I also list on eBay now and then when they have free listing fees as frstyfrolk. When I first started out on-line I was frstyfrolk from my Snowbabies collection on AOL and my Department 56 affiliation for many years. When I started blogging I became ByLightOfMoon which was my Island name on the Jimmy Buffett boards when I had my toes in the sand and sailed away. I thought I needed a separate name for my personal life from my other internet roaming. It has caused some confusion that I am, especially since Face book; as I am both names there under two accounts. But, I shall keep trying to incorporate both names in my on-line presence.

Thanks Damla for entering my giveaway and I am off to notify you right now! And, I do have music as a theme for my "Once Upon A Time Heart",  it is filled with music scrolls and also has musical instruments included in the stuffings! I will also include another heart for you to make or do with what your desire. I will look for anything musical I may have on hand to also include with your gift. I am sure I have more supplies for you.
